I’m just passing this on – please don’t contact me (Salustri) about it.
This year, the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE) its first full-day Student Ergo Design Competition on Monday, October 20, 2011 in London Ontario.
The purpose of the day is to bring students with an interest in ergonomics and design together for friendly competition focused on applying ergonomics and human factors to solve design challenges. The competition is open to any University/College level student at the diploma, undergraduate or graduate level. It does not require any preparing on the part of the student or judges as the design challenges are revealed on the day of the competition.
The Student Ergo Design Competition is sponsored by the ACE Ontario, and as a result we have been able to keep registration to a low cost of $10 per student. The day will include opportunities for all participants to earn points towards the top prizes for individuals, pairs, and teams.
We are encouraging students to register in teams of 4. Multi-disciplined teams are encouraged. Individual students may register and we will team them up with other students so that everyone who attends can participate in the day’s events.
Please let me know if you think students at your school would be interested in participating in this ACE Student Ergo Design Competition, or in future events.
We would love to have at least 1 of the teams be from Ryerson University.
Please circulate the information to your students, and let them know that they should contact me directly for registration.
